Minecraft Club (Intermediate / Advanced) Play, Compete, Connect Ready to level up your game? Minecraft Club is designed for children and youth who are already comfortable with Minecraft and are looking for a higher-energy, more fast-paced experience. These sessions are ideal for players who enjoy competitive mini-games, collaborative challenges, lively Zoom conversations, and a bit of friendly chaos while still playing fair and building positive connections. If your child loves Minecraft and wants to deepen their skills while connecting with peers who share their enthusiasm, Minecraft Club is the next step. About the Program Minecraft Club, hosted by Elysium , is part of AutismBC’s Socials Program. The program creates inclusive, moderated spaces where neurodivergent kids and youth can connect through shared interests, develop social skills, and enjoy meaningful play together. What We’ll Do This program is geared toward intermediate to advanced players and takes place primarily in Elysium’s modded RPG survival world. Activities vary month to month and may include: Complex builds and creative projects Redstone engineering and advanced mechanics In-depth survival strategies and world exploration Advanced farming, resource management, and pet taming Trading within an in-game economy Collaborative challenges such as build battles, team quests, and competitive mini-games that encourage strategy, communication, and teamwork The Elysium Minecraft server is allowlisted, ensuring a safe and secure space for all participants. The server remains open outside of monthly sessions for unstructured play and ongoing social connection. How It Works Monthly Minecraft social sessions hosted in partnership with Elysium, a nonprofit supporting neurodivergent gamers Participants play together on a private Minecraft server while connecting via Zoom Sessions are actively moderated to support inclusion, safety, and positive social interaction When Last Thursday of each month 6:00–7:30 PM PT (Unless otherwise notified) Where Elysium Minecraft Server (private, allowlisted) Zoom Video Call for real-time facilitation, guidance, and social connection Who Can Join AutismBC members and their children/youth Program capacity: 12 participants A waitlist will be maintained once the session is full Ideal Participants This program is best suited for children and youth who: Have been playing Minecraft for over one year Are comfortable navigating gameplay independently Enjoy faster-paced, collaborative, and competitive challenges Want to explore advanced mechanics in a social environment Have previous experience on the Elysium server or similar moderated servers Facilitation Sessions are facilitated by Michael and Serene from the Elysium team, who provide structure, moderation, and support to ensure a welcoming and inclusive experience for all participants. Cost & Membership Program participation is free An AutismBC membership is required A one-time purchase of Minecraft Java Edition (PC/Mac) is required to access the server IMPORTANT — Registration Details Registration opens on the second (2nd) day of each month at 10:00 AM. Registration closes on the Thursday before the event. Registration is first-come, first-served and runs month-to-month. Capacity is limited to 12 players. Once full, additional registrants will be placed on a waitlist. Program Pathway & Placement Participants are encouraged to start in the Intro Group before moving into the Club Intro helps build confidence, familiarity, and foundational skills Participants may be shifted between groups based on readiness, fit, and available space Our goal is to ensure every participant is supported in the environment that best suits them. Registration Requirements Participants must have: A PC, Mac, or Linux computer (Chromebooks are not compatible) A Minecraft Java Edition account (Bedrock Edition is not compatible) A microphone and headphones/earbuds A mouse ( trackpads are not recommended ) A reliable internet connection Zoom app installed A webcam ( optional but encouraged ) A second monitor or large screen ( recommended for viewing Zoom) First-time participants: If you have not yet played within our Minecraft Socials, please select “First-time Registrant Assisted Setup” during registration.
