Join us in learning about the largest known concentration of Indigenous rock carvings (petroglyphs) in Canada, depicting turtles, snakes, birds, humans and more; this sacred site is known as Kinoomaage-Waapkong (The Teaching Rocks). Explore how this sacred site plays an integral role in Algonkian spirituality, culture, and connections to the land through artistic expression. Please note: To maintain the Petroglyph site's spiritual integrity, there is no photography allowed of the Teaching Rocks. Visitors are encouraged to bring paper and pencils to sketch or draw what they see. The Indigenous community has requested that dogs not be present at the Petroglyphs site. Cost: $5.00/family. Limit 5 people per family. 1 vehicle per family. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable You will receive a park entrance pass the day before the event, valid only on July 16, 2026 Please note this is an outdoor event; come dressed for the weather. This event will run rain or shine. Once your registration is successful, you will receive an automatic confirmation. If you haven't received it, please check your "junk" or "other" box. If you have not received an email, be sure to check your spam/junk folders. Parent/Caregiver supervision is required. This is not a transfer of care event. The parent/caregiver is required to remain on-site. Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many families as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other families.
