Central East, Bowmanville – Adult Social Group: Cooking with Caregiver Cookies from Scratch (autistic adults 18 yrs+)

Registration opens June 15 at 12:00 pm Come join us for a hands-on, beginner-friendly baking adventure! In this class, you’ll mix, bake, and take home your creations each week.  This event is for autistic adults 18+ and their parents/caregivers. Make classic chocolate chip and decadent oatmeal raisin cookies. Using common kitchen appliances, we’ll focus on simple, practical steps that make cooking enjoyable. Recipes will be provided at the end, so you can recreate the meal at home. Caregivers are encouraged to join and stay throughout the experience. This event is for Autistic adults (18+) who attend events and programs independently, without careperson support, as well as for Autistic adults (18+) who require a careperson(s) to support them. Autism Ontario does not provide transfer-of-care or careperson support for its programs.If an Autistic person requires support to attend, the careperson is expected to remain on site to provide support as needed during the event or activity.  If accommodations are needed, please inquire by emailing katherine.kawadri@autismontario.com. 0.00/family. Once registered and paid, refunds will not be issued. Note: All participants are required to sign a Code of Conduct annually. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other participants.
