This 1-hour live session provides an overview of Ontario’s special education system and the key processes that support autistic students in school. You will learn about how schools support autistic students, the supports and options available, and how to work with the school team to help your child succeed. In this session, you will learn about: How special education works in Ontario schoolsImportant terms and processes (like IEP and IPRC)The roles of families, schools, and school boardsWhere to find helpful resources and supportThis session is intended as an introduction to special education in Ontario for families, caregivers, and professionals supporting autistic children and youth.
