The ROM worked with Autism Ontario to publish a sensory-friendly visitor guide that maps where loud noises, bright lighting, scents, sloped floors and crowds occur — and where the quiet areas are. During sensory-friendly events audio and visual stimulation is reduced and a designated quiet room is available for a break.
