Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard
Offered by Hidden Disabilities Sunflower (Toronto Pearson Airport / Metrolinx)
Free lanyard/pin that discreetly signals a non-visible disability so staff offer extra patience and help — available free at Toronto Pearson and on GO Transit / UP Express.
The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a globally recognized symbol of a non-visible disability. Wearing the lanyard or pin lets trained staff know the wearer may need a little more time, patience or assistance. Toronto Pearson was the first Canadian airport to join, and Metrolinx (GO Transit / UP Express) was the first North American transit agency to join.
Eligibility
Anyone with a non-visible disability (including autism). No proof or diagnosis required to obtain a lanyard.
How to apply
Pick up a free Sunflower lanyard at Toronto Pearson, or a free Sunflower pin at Metrolinx (GO/UP) customer service. Lanyards can also be ordered from the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Canada store.
