IACC must do better for autistic people

Published May 9, 2026

A dated ASAN advocacy statement calling for improved accessibility, notice, and autistic representation in the IACC process.

This is a dated advocacy statement from the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) about the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC).

ASAN raised concerns about advance notice, accessible participation, meeting materials, and autistic representation. These concerns and recommendations are ASAN’s position; they are not findings by Autism Resource Hub or a legal determination.

The April 2026 meeting and comment deadline referenced in the original statement have passed. For current meeting information, consult official IACC materials.
