IPRC (Identification, Placement and Review Committee)

An Ontario school board committee that determines whether a student is 'exceptional' under the Education Act, decides their exceptionality category, and recommends placement (regular class with support, special education class, and so on). Reviewed at least once per school year. Distinct from the IEP — the IPRC is the formal identification process, the IEP is the working plan that follows.
